Hi everyone! My name is Ashley Taylor. I am the marketing intern for Tampa Bay Wave. I was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL, and am entering my fourth year as an Information, Communication, and Technology major at the Florida State University. During my time at FSU, I have been able to gain experience with coding languages, such as HTML, JavaScript, and Java, digital media production and communication.

Through FSU’s Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (C.A.R.E.) and Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement (C.R.E.)’s Tech Fellows Program, which exposes first-generation students to the daily task of product development, entrepreneurship, and ecosystem building, I was given this amazing opportunity to work with the staff of Tampa Bay Wave. In addition to my internship, I will be conducting a research on the leadership styles of women entrepreneurs.

While I am apart of the Wave Team, I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experiences by building my coding skillset, using my passion for graphic design to produce and create marketing materials, and learning how successful startups run their daily operations, as I do hope to start my own business in the future.

Outside of day-to-day with school and work, I spend time as a cheerleader coach and mentor for a competitive park and recreation team or I’m behind a computer focused on graphic designing.
